Val Venosta

Sunny Val Venosta

The Bike Hotel Goldrainerhof*** is located in Goldrain, a hamlet in the commune of the market town of Laudes in the heart of Val Venosta. The place name, Goldrain can be traced back to the pits in the area, where, according to folk legend, gold was to be found. The village has about 750 inhabitants and lies among orchards and vineyards on the slopes of Monte Sole.

The Val Venosta valley stretched over a geographical area from Passo di Resia up to Tel and because of its sheltered location in the midst of the Eastern Alps, it is the driest valley in South Tyrol, with over 300 days of sunshine throughout the year.

Val Venosta benefits from a unique wealth of diversity in its cultural and natural setting, ideal for an active holiday full of variety both in winter and in summer. Centuries-old paths along the water channels, a variety of hiking trails and a dense network of mountain biking trails weave their way through a landscape, blessed by more than 10 centuries of history and culture. Come and discover for yourself the hiking trails, cycle tracks and the many places of interest in Val Venosta!
